Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift assignment in Richmond, Virginia. The role requires current RRT credential, VA state license if applicable, BLS and ACLS, and ICU experience. 36 hours per week across 12-hour nights, with a 13-week contract.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of ICU experience, no large gaps in work history, and be comfortable with Meditech EMR, BIPAP/CPAP, and ventilator care in a 430-bed hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current RRT credential required.
• Current VA state license required if applicable.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• ICU experience required.
• Candidates without ICU experience will not be considered.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration.
• Professional reference required (two references required for Florida and Missouri).

Responsibilities

• Perform nebulizer treatments, BIPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, and arterial blood gas procedures.
• Work in a fast-paced hospital environment, night shift.
• Adhere to travel eligibility rules and 50-mile radius travel policy.
