Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by communicating them to others.
• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways.
• Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Uses and maintains equipment properly.
• Assists visitors with directions whenever requested.
• Always introduces self to patients, families and visitors.
• Follows infection control practices including hand hygiene and standard precautions.
• Maintains age‑specific precautions as applicable.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety.
