Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is seeking a Full-Time Healthcare Mechanic to support the Engineering and Facilities team. This role maintains and repairs facility systems to ensure a safe and functional environment for patients, visitors, and staff, with emphasis on reliability and code compliance.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read blueprints and schematics, operate central plant equipment, and participate in safety and operating procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school preferred.
• 2+ years in plant and building maintenance or related trade.
• Central plant operations experience preferred.
• Strong background in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facility safety devices to meet safety codes.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
• Carry out basic building repairs including ceiling tiles, walls, and painting.
• Perform entry level carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing tasks.
• Operate central plant equipment and fire/electrical/plumbing systems.
• Read and follow maintenance manuals and blueprints; use schematics.
