Job summary

Rango is seeking a Full-Time Night Shift Heavy Equipment Operator in Bonner Springs, KS to support mine operations on-site from 6:30pm to 5:30am. This role requires hard rock experience, safety awareness, and the ability to lift 50 lbs, work outside in varying conditions, and communicate clearly with the team.

You will operate track dozers, excavators, graders, and loaders, perform inspections and preventive maintenance, and assist with road building, grading, backfilling, and material loading.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Prior hard rock experience. Preferred at least one year of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Preferred experience in maintenance and operation of mobile or construction equipment.
• Willing and able to work the Night Shift Schedule (6:30pm – 5:30am), overtime and weekends as needed.
• Willing to work outside in a variety of conditions.
• Dependable and punctual.
• High level of safety consciousness and clear understanding of equipment safety.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., safely climb ladders, and regularly walk on uneven ground.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, including track dozers, excavators, motor graders, and front-end loaders.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment; clean equipment.
• Carry out activities such as road building, fine grading, sloping, banking, backfilling, loading, excavating, stockpiling, maintaining road berms, and loading trucks.
