Job summary

ECMCC in Buffalo, NY is seeking a General Duty Nurse for a full-time night shift temporary position. Candidates must be a licensed Registered Professional Nurse in New York State with BLS certification and be able to work on-site.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, coordinating care with physicians, administering medications, and contributing to discharge planning and patient education.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in New York State at time of appointment and maintain throughout duration of appointment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an ECMCC-approved provider at time of appointment and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical, psychological, and social patient assessments.
• Develop and implement written nursing care plans based on assessments.
• Assist physicians during exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Record vital signs and update care plans; discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family health education and support.
