Responsibilities

• Manage freight deliveries through processing identifying counting separating and scanning freight, operating computer software and basic applications to track freight.
• Unload freight from trailer manually or with power equipment and maintain records/logs/forms.
• Organize work area through stacking/pallets using a pallet jack or power equipment.
• Maintain a safe work area by checking trailer/pallet integrity (leaks, pests, trailer damage).
• Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (customers, suppliers, associates).
• Apply labels to correct locations on freight/pallets/merchandise.
• Provide basic maintenance to receiving equipment (cleaning, changing labels, ribbons).
