Job summary

Forward Air Corporation in Las Vegas is seeking capable cargo handlers to join our fast-paced shipping/dock operation. You will load and unload freight on trailers, use scanners, and prepare shipments in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 90 pounds occasionally. Flexible weekends and overtime are needed; all training is provided. Forward Air is an Equal Opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

• Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Forklift and general freight handling knowledge is a plus.
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload 53 ft. trailers and operate scanners.
• Use handheld scanners to track and maneuver freight.
• Label boxes and prepare freight for shipment.
• Safely load/unload using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Obtain forklift certification and operate equipment as required.
• Verify documentation and freight condition to meet standards.
• Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 90 pounds.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
