Job summary

Farrar Corporation is seeking a Foundry Cleaning Room Lead for an on-site role in Norwich, KS. The night shift runs Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00 PM–5:30 AM, with full-time hourly compensation.

You will oversee post-casting operations, drive process improvements, ensure quality, and supervise frontline staff to maintain safety and productivity. You will lead activities across shakeout, knockoff, shot blasting, inspection and grinding, coordinating with Production, Quality, and Engineering to resolve

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of foundry experience, preferably in ductile iron.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, prints, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct cleaning room personnel across operations.
• Coordinate daily workflow to meet production schedules and shipments.
• Ensure castings meet quality specs before release.
• Train and develop team on techniques, safety, and quality standards.
• Monitor productivity and identify throughput improvements.
• Maintain safety standards and PPE compliance.
• troubleshoot process/equipment issues and collaborate with teams.
