Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Jackson, TN is hiring Sit Down Forklift Operators for night shifts. You will operate sit-down forklifts, perform loading/picking/packing, and ensure accurate documentation.

Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered; training is provided to advance within the company. The role requires a valid forklift license, reliable attendance, and the ability to work a flexible 6:00 pm–6:00 am schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Flexible schedule on various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent attendance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
