Job summary
Publix Super Markets is seeking Warehouse Forklift Operators to move cases and pallets within Publix’s warehouses, transferring items from receiving docks to reserve and pick locations. The role includes replenishing pick locations from reserve stock, rotating inventory by oldest stock, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
Operators may also temporarily fill in for other roles as needed, with responsibilities expanding based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work nights and weekends/holidays.
- Certification in pallet truck and forklift operations by start date.
- Must be able to lift at least 67 pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop and twist.
- Operate a pallet truck or forklift safely in the operator area.
- Ability to read, write, identify and verify numbers.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Responsibilities
- Move cases and pallets within Publix warehouses.
- Move product from receiving docks to reserve locations.
- Replenish pick locations from reserve locations.
- Rotate inventory using oldest stock first.
- Maintain a clean warehouse and sweep empty slots.
- Occasionally fill in for other roles as needed.
