Job summary

Red River Commodities is seeking a Forklift Operator to support packaging and warehouse operations at our Horace, ND facility. The role involves moving materials, logging product into inventory, and restocking on the packaging floor, with monthly inventory counts.

Shifts run 11:00pm - 7:30am (Mon–Friday). Responsibilities include operating forklifts, loading pallets, maintaining workflow, and adhering to OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience 6+ months preferred.
• Must speak/read English well to follow instructions.
• RF scanner or inventory system experience preferred.
• Able to count and assist with monthly inventory.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Understand and follow safety rules in facility.
• Able to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts: Safely drive and maneuver forklifts to transfer finished pallets from production areas to warehouse storage.
• Load and unload pallets: Handle pallets of packaged goods, ensuring proper stacking and placement to prevent damage.
• Utilize slip sheet systems and associated equipment to handle palletized and non-palletized freight while minimizing product damage and maximizing warehouse efficiency.
• Maintain workflow: Support production and warehouse teams by keeping pallets moving and minimizing bottlenecks.
• Inspect equipment: Perform daily checks on forklifts to ensure safe operation; report any issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols: Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards, including proper use of PPE and safe driving practices.
• Inventory support: Assist with pallet counts, product tracking, and warehouse organization.
• Housekeeping: Keep work areas clean and free of hazards to maintain a safe environment.
