Job summary

Crown Cork & Seal’s North American Beverage Packaging Division has an opening for a Forklift Operator at the Nichols, New York facility. You will transport inventory and materials across the operation floor and warehouse, supporting a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires 3+ years forklift experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the stamina for 12-hour night shifts on a 2/2/3 schedule. Safety and accuracy are essential in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years forklift experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds.
• Must work twelve hour shifts (12h) including night shift.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a team environment.
• Able to climb/balance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates powered industrial trucks to transport inventory and load tractor trailers for shipment.
• Transports inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment.
• Understands daily production schedule and coordinates with mgmt. leads and coworkers.
• Performs visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging quality.
• Monitors schedules, equipment, or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Assists with Material Movers or other forklift operations when necessary.
• Follows all SOPs and communicates concerns to proper personnel.
• Assists QA in locating pallets for sampling.
• Keeps equipment and areas safe, clean, and organized through housekeeping.
• Performs other related duties as required.
