Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Forensic Toxicology Laboratory Scientist I in Lenexa, KS, working Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The role involves testing donor specimens, preparation and instrument operation, and maintaining proper chain of custody.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, performing QC checks, documenting results, and assisting in method validation. A Bachelor’s degree in a science field and 1 year of lab experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field with chemistry/biology coursework.
• 1+ year laboratory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of lab safety and quality control principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain chain of custody for forensic specimens and handle samples per SOP.
• Prepare reagents, run instruments, and verify QC in each batch.
• Document results clearly and maintain organized work area.
• Participate in method validation and calibration processes.
• Adhere to supervisor directions and company policies.
