Job summary

The Food Safety Sanitor position at Fortrex and Safe Foods is a hands-on on-site role based in Lumber Bridge, NC. You will perform sanitation tasks following eight steps, uphold food safety policies, and work with leads to ensure procedures are followed to protect the product and brand.

Ideal candidates are 18 years or older, able to follow directions, maintain safety awareness, and endure extreme temperatures while wearing PPE; shift starts at 1:00 am and ends at 9:00 am, supporting our night

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and instruction from managers and be accountable for own actions.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers, etc.
• Wear employer-specified PPE such as gloves, face shield, eye goggles, aprons, boots, safety glasses, etc.
• Exposure to chemicals (with PPE required for the task).
• All night standing, lifting, and crouching for periods at a time.
• Use Lock-out tag-out (LOTO).
• Other duties as assigned.
