Job summary

Best Home Furnishing is seeking a NIGHTSHIFT Fabric Warehouse Associate in Indiana to manage fabric rolls, inventory, and bar code tagging. The role reports to Cutting Supervisor and supports daily production needs.

Responsibilities include uploading rolls, entering data in the inventory system, applying bar codes, shelving, and pulling for the production schedule using a handheld scanner and forklift as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to lift up to 120 lbs and work night shifts.
• Experience operating forklifts and using a handheld scanner is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Upload fabric rolls from suppliers.
• Enter fabric into the computerized inventory system.
• Generate and attach bar code tags to rolls.
• Place rolls on correct shelves.
• Identify rolls for production pull each day.
• Use handheld scanner when pulling rolls.
• Transport pulled fabric to cutting department.
• Record yardage used on tags.
• Other duties as assigned.

Best Home Furnishing is seeking a qualified individual for a NIGHTSHIFT Fabric Warehouse position.

Job Title: Fabric Warehouse Associate
Reports to: Cutting Supervisor

Essential functions of the job include the following:

• Uploading fabric rolls from various suppliers
• Entering the fabric into our computerized inventory system
• Generating and attaching bar code tags onto the fabric rolls
• Placing the rolls on the correct storage shelf
• Identifying the correct fabric rolls to be pulled for the day’s production schedule
• Use a handheld computerizedscanning device when pulling the fabric rolls
• Transporting the pulled fabric to the fabric cutting department
• Returning the roll and noting the yardage used on the bar code tags
• Other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

• Repetitive pulling, pinching and gripping with both hands
• Transport product on & off work bench
• Safely operate forklifts and hand transfers
• Able to work scheduled hours on a regular basis, which could include overtime
• Ability to work within a team
• Adhere to quality standards and safety practices as defined in the work instructions.
• Lifting weight: 120 lbs. - maximum; 80 lbs. – frequent
