Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Extrusion Assistant to support Coater or Blown Film line operations at our Fremont, OH plant. The role includes assisting machine operators with setup, change-overs, start-ups, running, and shutdowns on a 12-hour night shift (6:55 p.m.

– 7:10 a.m.). You will help ensure a steady resin supply, package rolls, weigh and haul scrap, and maintain a clean, safe work area while supporting troubleshooting and CI initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation.
• Computer literacy and ability to follow production instructions.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators in all aspects of Coater or Blown Film line operation, including change-overs, start-ups, running, and shutdowns.
• Order and maintain resin boxes to ensure a steady supply for Coater or Blown Film machines.
• Package mill rolls, weigh and haul scrap.
• Support troubleshooting, material handling, and housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Operate Coater or Blown Film machines when an operator is absent or on vacation (once qualified).
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
