Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking an Experienced RN for our Emergency Department. This 41-bed Level III Trauma ED treats about 150 patients daily and offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified experienced RNs. ADN is required; BSN preferred; Virginia or compact RN license in good standing.

This is a full-time night shift position (7p-7a) with competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits. Join a Magnet-designated facility known for stroke and trauma care excellence.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• BSN or higher preferred.
• Virginia or compact multistate RN license in good standing.
• RN with ED hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate care with the ED team, including teaching and health promotion.
• Deliver care in a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED with mobile radiology and CT imaging.
• Support throughput by caring for about 150 patients per day and collaborating with ED staff.
