Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Clarksville seeks a dedicated RN to join the ER team on a full-time night schedule. You will collaborate with physicians and nurses to plan and deliver care for 170-210 patients daily, applying nursing assessments, education, and care planning to achieve safe outcomes.

The role emphasizes patient safety, rapid assessment, and continuous improvement within a stroke and chest pain certified ER.

Qualifications

• RN with Tennessee licensure and nursing degree.
• Experience with home care assessments and patient education preferred.
• Ability to analyze patient information and develop care plans.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced ER setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
