Job summary

Intermountain Health Layton Hospital is seeking a part-time EVS team member for the night shift (10:00pm–6:30am) to keep hospital facilities clean, safe, and sanitary. You will work across ER, OR, offices, lobbies, and patient discharge areas, with weekend rotations and holiday coverage.

The role emphasizes proper chemical handling, infection prevention, and adherence to Joint Commission and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated communication skills to differentiate color-coded labels and/or chemicals and to follow written or verbal directions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet department needs.
• Professional housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas following department procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals properly per Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Handle infectious waste and trash according to safety guidelines.
• Respond to emergency spills per department policy and safety standards.
• Follow infection prevention practices including PPE use and hand hygiene.
