Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join Animal Emergency Clinic-Kirkwood, a 24/7 emergency hospital just minutes from downtown St. Louis. You’ll work with a seasoned team to deliver high-quality emergency care nights, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate holds a DVM or VMD, an active state license, DEA registration, and 1+ year of emergency experience, with strong diagnostic, surgical, and client-communication skills.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college; current state veterinary license; DEA registration.
• 1+ year of emergency practice experience; strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; compassionate client care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and educate on diagnoses and treatments.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and surgical interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow protocols.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on priorities and daily operations.
• Participate in rounds and practice management updates.
