Job summary

gobravvo is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join a locum tenens roster in a fast-paced ED setting in Alabama. The role emphasizes night coverage with consistent 12-hour shifts, supported by a team of advanced practice clinicians and a robust Epic EMR system.

Board-certified or board-eligible physicians with ED experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants should hold an active medical license and DEA/CDS registrations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted medical license.
• DEA and CDS registration with appropriate address.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; Internal Medicine or Family Medicine accepted.
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.
• Submission of case logs and CME documentation from the past 2 years.
• Credentialing with an estimated 90-day timeline.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department during assigned 12-hour shifts.
• Perform rapid assessment, diagnosis, and stabilization of patients with acute illnesses or injuries.
• Work collaboratively with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nursing staff.
• Document care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR.
• Participate in emergency department quality and safety initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Adhere to established clinical protocols and organizational standards.
