The role emphasizes high-quality, evidence-based practice and strong communication with attending physicians, hospitalists, and care teams within a comprehensive Stroke Center and regional center network.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington.
• Minimum one year of Emergency Medicine or Critical Care experience.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care, including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients.
• Work collaboratively with attending physicians to manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions.
• Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
• Shifts are 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM.
• Work side-by-side with dedicated night Emergency Physicians on overnight shifts.
