Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking an Emergency Communication Coordinator to act as the central hub for emergency transport and patient transfers. You will coordinate the Air Care Team, Critical Care Trucks, and the Emergency Transfer Center, ensuring safe, timely transport across the network.

Ideal candidates bring healthcare or emergency services experience, strong multitasking, critical thinking, and calm decision-making under pressure. Shift- 7PM-7AM, on-site role.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Medical Terminology course; or CNA license; or EMS Dispatch.
• State of Florida EMT license may be substituted for the course.

Responsibilities

• Performs primary flight following duties for all Air Care Team aircraft and Critical Care Trucks.
• Communicates with flight/ground crews to relay information for safe flight and situational awareness.
• Operates dispatch and EHR/EMR systems to process air medical transport requests.
• Coordinate interfacility transports within the Orlando Health network.
• Triages multiple tasks calmly in high-stress situations and ensures timely transfers.
