Job summary

KION Group AG in Hickory, NC is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 2 for night shifts (7 pm–7 am) to troubleshoot and perform preventative/predictive maintenance on material handling equipment. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Base pay ranges from $24.00 to $29.50 per hour depending on location, education, and experience. This role focuses on repair, preventive maintenance, and efficient operation of MHE, with opportunities for growth and advancement within a global supply

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; vocational-technical training preferred.
• Able to lift/move material up to 50 pounds; regular bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Able to stand/walk for long hours and cover multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and documentation.
• Create and close work orders in the asset management system with data (labor hours, parts).
• Troubleshoot basic conveyance problems and resolve faults.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Respond to semi-complex service calls and correct equipment faults.
• Identify problems and take steps to solve them.
• Develop positive working relationships across the organization.
