Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician in California to perform terminal and electrical service, repair, maintenance and installation across multiple facilities. You will troubleshoot wiring circuits, motor controls, and programmable controllers, using blueprints and sketches to guide installations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in lighting or electrical maintenance
• California Electrician License preferred
• Must be able to pass a drug and background screen
• Must be able to meet criteria to drive a company vehicle
• Must be willing to work nights
• Valid and current drivers license
• Must understand and conform to Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines

Responsibilities

• Perform terminal and electrical service, equipment and system repair, maintenance, testing and installation tasks at a variety of facilities
• Troubleshoot and repair or replace wiring circuits for lighting and lighting/system controls, computerized motor controls, programmable controllers and other related electrical equipment
• Identify and acquire parts for replacement, maintenance and other required work in accordance with established procurement procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment
• Prepare sketches showing wiring and equipment locations, or follow diagrams and blueprints
• Plan layouts and installations of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications
• Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste and provide future maintenance access
• Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing devices
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures
• Perform physically demanding tasks while using basic and specialized tools and equipment throughout service jobs/work orders
• Comply with government and local regulations, ordinances, safety guidelines, specifications, safety codes, and local electrical codes
