Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for the Emergency Department in Martinsburg, WV. Assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts. Requires WV or compact license, BSN, and multiple certifications, including ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.

The role involves working in a 40-bed ED with trauma bays, rapid exam beds, and diverse case mix, with a typical 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio. Epic EMR is used; local travel restrictions apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Emergency Department RN experience in a high-volume setting.
• Current WV or compact RN license and BSN required.
• Travel nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 40-bed ED with trauma bays and rapid examination beds.
• RN to patient ratio typically 1:4.
• Night shift schedule 7pm–7am with weekend/holiday coverage as needed.
• Utilize Epic EMR; no float outside ED.
• Perform labs, IV starts, Foley catheter insertion/removal, EKGs and wound care.
