Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for 2-12 hour night shifts with a night shift differential. The role includes self-scheduling for 6-week blocks and offers comprehensive benefits.

The Emergency Department operates with a team of RNs, patient care techs, and physicians to serve pediatric and adult populations. Ideal candidates will hold RN licensure with an accredited nursing education path; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in good standing.
• Strong assessment and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Educates patients and families on care plans, post-treatment needs and medication administration.
• Promotes patient and family centered care and participates in safety, quality and regulatory activities.
• Develops and documents individualized care plans with interprofessional team and patients/families.
