Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. seeks a skilled Rush Technician to service and repair trucks at our Houston facilities. You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul diesel engines and truck components, install major parts, and ensure safety and quality throughout the job.

With 5 years of Class 7 & 8 technician experience and ASE certifications preferred, you will build strong customer relationships and participate in ongoing training to stay current with OEM guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• High school diploma or GED required; ASE certifications preferred.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Repair trucks, engines and components; overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install parts such as injectors, pistons, liners, bearings, brake systems, and transmissions.
• Read job orders, diagnose malfunctions, and plan work procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and torque/adjust mechanical systems as needed.
• Lubricate parts and test drive to verify repairs meet specs.
• Document warranty parts and returns; attend factory training.
• Build positive customer relationships to improve satisfaction.
