Job summary
GFL Industries is seeking a diesel mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy duty trucks and equipment. The role offers a starting pay up to $35/hr with OT after 40 hours and a 3pm-3am shift, with some Saturday rotation.
Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing heavy trucks, planning repairs, maintaining records, and ensuring safety regulations are followed. Benefits include PTO, boot reimbursement, 401K after 6 months, and health benefits after 60 days.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical diploma desired.
- Minimum of one year experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Experience using diagnostic software a plus.
- Must be computer literate and willing to learn.
- Must meet safety criteria per Company standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy‑duty diesel trucks and equipment.
- Maintain and repair diesel, CNG, gas and electric equipment.
- Complete reports, work orders, and procure parts.
- Plan and schedule repairs and manage parts procurement.
- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
