Job summary

CBRE Data Center Technician position based in Barker, NY, requires on-site presence for overnight shifts. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on data center mechanical and electrical systems, respond to BMS alarms, and work with vendors to ensure compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent in a technical discipline with 1-2 years of related experience.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Monitor Building Management System alarms and respond to issues.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with processes and regulations.
• Complete planned maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment in the data center.
• Record accurate readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities and maintain logs.
• Follow safety, regulatory, and quality standards in all tasks.
