Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Overnight Data Center Operations Manager for DCC Communities in New Carlisle, IN. You will lead a diverse team responsible for cloud infrastructure operations, drive strategies, mentor staff, sponsor projects, and propose technical solutions.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience or a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
  • Manage the performance of a diverse team across different locations.
  • Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Ensure data center operations are managed day-to-day including queue management and 7/24 shift arrangements.
  • Lead large-scale events/outages and act as call leader.
  • Develop career paths and updates in internal tools.
  • Maintain on-call schedules and ensure safety and security standards.
