Job summary

The University of North Carolina Wilmington is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain the care and cleanliness of offices, classrooms, and multi‑purpose facilities on campus. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning windows, walls, woodwork and light fixtures; bathrooms must be kept sanitary with supplies replenished as needed.

The position requires organizing the cleaning cart, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service to building occupants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Two years of commercial/industrial cleaning experience.
• NC Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Care and cleanliness of offices, classrooms, and multi‑purpose facilities.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors; clean windows, walls, woodwork, and light fixtures; maintain bathrooms with supplies replenished as needed.
• Organize cleaning cart and supply closet; maintain inventory levels; provide customer service to building occupants.
• Backup support for special projects; follow instructions for complex tasks; night shift schedule.
