Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Current Texas license or compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• RN experience levels: RN I <1 year, RN II 1-3 years, RN III 3-10 years, RN IV 10+ years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates the planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to attain positive outcomes.
• Coordinates treatment and develops discharge/transfer plans.
• Participates in evaluation of programs and process improvement for patient-centered outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards; ensures safe care for patients, staff, and visitors.
