Job summary

You will write orders, interpret labs, and coordinate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure high‑quality patient care. The role requires NYS PA licensure, NCCPA certification, BLS, and a minimum of one year in critical care (ACP) or completion of a Critical Care ACP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required and NYS PA license.
• ARC-PA accredited program completion required.
• NYS PA license and NCCPA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1-year Critical Care experience as ACP or CC ACP fellowship completed.

Responsibilities

• Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations.
• Initiates, documents and communicates the plan of care with follow-up.
• Performs daily patient rounds.
• Writes orders for medications, labs and diagnostics; interprets results.
• Confers with attending physicians, residents and nursing staff to ensure quality care.
• Discharges patients and notes post-discharge instructions and referrals.
• Performs related duties as required.
