Job summary

The role requires safe vehicle operation, timely deliveries, and professional interaction with customers, patients, and staff.

You will work a mostly night schedule Monday through Friday with weekend and holiday variations, use handheld devices and software, and uphold strict safety and turnaround time standards.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Language Ability: Read and understand simple instructions in English; write simple correspondence.
• Math Ability: Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Reasoning Ability: Basic problem-solving with concrete variables.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of E‑mail and handheld computers (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Transports supplies, mail, and clinical lab specimens to and from designated locations.
• Coordinates activities with dispatcher.
• Notifies Manager of any issues impacting the daily schedule.
• Verifies daily pickups and deliveries per policies.
• Operates vehicle safely and wears seatbelt.
• Alerts leadership to issues affecting vehicle performance.
• Performs duties independently with limited supervision.
• May assist with training new staff as needed.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and uses a car wash when required.
• Uses handheld devices and software programs; adapts to tech upgrades.
• Completes monthly driver safety modules.
