Job summary

Catholic Charities Steuben/Livingston is seeking an Overnight Counselor Assistant to support residents during the 10 PM–8 AM shift. You will provide counseling, emergency services, and quality assurance tasks while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

Preferred qualifications include an Associate degree, CASAC-T, NY driver license with a reliable vehicle, and at least two years in substance abuse or related human services. Applicants must be 21+ per Justice Center guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CASAC-T certification preferred; Valid NY State Driver License with access to a reliable vehicle.
• Two years of experience in substance abuse or related human services preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older per Justice Center recommendations.

Responsibilities

• The Overnight Counselor Assistant is the awake position from 10 PM to 8 AM, ensuring safety and providing counseling and emergency services as needed.
• Maintains records, performs quality assurance tasks, and follows confidentiality regulations.
• Communicates effectively with residents, staff and community professionals, and adheres to agency policies.
