Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a FT NIGHT SHIFT Paramedic to join our team of medical professionals in the Hillsborough County Jail in Tampa, FL. This Correctional Paramedic role supports emergency medical care within a secure facility and works alongside correctional officers and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities include rapid assessments, advanced care, documentation, and coordination with EMS/Fire/Police. Requires NPC, BLS, and advanced EMT training, with a strong knowledge base in physiology and

Qualifications

• Completion of NPC exam and the required state licensing counterparts.
• Hold: AHA BLS CPR Card.
• Has extensive knowledge of physiology, cardiology, medical procedures, and medication.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating medical needs, prioritizing care by severity and providing urgent care.
• Responding to emergencies with rapid assessments and advanced medical care.
• Administering medications, performing intubation, IV insertion, and related procedures.
• Completing paperwork and documentation for individual care of patients or staff.
• Communicating with medical professionals, security staff and EMS/Police services outside the facility.
