Meyer Utility Structures in Clinton, IL is seeking a Night Shift CNC – Plasma Cutting Machine Operator to set up and run the plasma cutter, fabricating parts from metal plates to exact specifications. You will load materials with a crane or forklift, adjust speeds, gas pressures, and amperage, and perform test runs to verify tolerances while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Prior experience operating a plasma table or similar CNC machinery.
Basic computer literacy and CAD nesting knowledge.
Ability to read tape measure.
Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate the CNC plasma cutting machine according to drawings or program number.
Safely load and unload raw metal materials onto the cutting table using overhead crane or forklift.
Input or download programs, adjust machine settings and perform test runs to verify specifications.
Inspect finished products with precision instruments to ensure tolerances and quality.
Perform routine maintenance and replace worn consumables; troubleshoot issues as needed.
Record production data and collaborate with team to ensure efficient workflow.
