Job summary

National Oilwell Varco in Conroe, TX, is seeking a CNC Machinist to support 24/7 production of downhole products. You will read blueprints, set up CNC machines, perform inspections, and maintain high quality while complying with safety standards.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of CNC mill/lathe experience, knowledge of G&M codes, and familiarity with measurement tools. High school diploma or equivalent required with drug/background checks. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
• 2+ years of CNC mill or lathe experience.
• Knowledge of G & M Codes.
• 1+ yrs. knowledge of standard safety and manufacturing processes preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a machine shop/manufacturing facility is preferred.
• Experience with reading part drawings/blueprints is preferred.
• Familiarity with measurement tools is preferred.
• Computer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines (lathes and mills) to produce quality parts safely and efficiently.
• Set up changes and perform first article inspections on production runs.
• Load parts using overhead lifting equipment and inspect for conformance.
• Read blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerances and tooling requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Identify potential problems early and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and delivery guidelines.
