Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Current and active CNA certification in California.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and patient-care skills; teamwork.
• Reliability, professionalism, and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Physically able to perform CNA tasks: lifting/transferring patients, ADLs, standing/walking.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measures and records patient weights and vital signs; documents findings.
• Assist patients with hygiene, ADLs, and comfort; maintain privacy and safety.
• Aid with patient care activities as directed by licensed nurse; transport specimens.
• Engage in caring behaviors; demonstrate independent judgment and initiative.
