Job summary

Tampa General Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time night shifts (12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) with a rotating every-other-weekend schedule. The role supports patients through rehabilitation, assisting with daily living activities and coordinating with nursing staff to ensure safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates will have an CNA training program completion and at least six months of acute care or rehab experience,

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience in an acute care, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility).
• Provides compassionate patient care and emotional support.
• Obtains and records vital signs and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Answers call lights and responds promptly to patient needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
• Supports nurses and interdisciplinary team in delivering patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
