Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Team Leader (Charge Nurse) to provide direct patient care and lead the unit during a 12x3 night shift. The role requires BSN, Texas RN license, and completion of required charge nurse training within 90 days if hired externally.

Responsibilities include staffing plans, patient flow coordination, and driving department quality measures, while supporting organizational objectives and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited nursing school with BSN
• Completion of charge nurse training and competencies (within 90 days if external hire)
• Current RN license in Texas or compact license
• Clinical course certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.)
• Advanced specialty certification (CCRN, CEN, RNC, etc.) or plan to obtain within 2 years

Responsibilities

• Provides frontline leadership and decision-making for department staff
• Develops staffing plans based on patient acuity and oversees shift operations
• Monitors workflow and adjusts staffing to meet fiscal goals
• Coordinates patient flow for admissions and discharges
• Assists manager in achieving department and organizational objectives
• Participates in process improvement and peer interviews/feedback
• Assists with investigations and other duties as assigned
