Job summary

Harris Health System is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for the night shift at Ben Taub Hospital. You will ensure safe, effective, and optimal medication management across all dimensions of patient care.

You will interpret and evaluate medication orders, support clinical decision-making, and perform key pharmacy functions such as order entry, pharmacokinetics, IV-to-PO conversions, and therapeutic interchange.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school.
• Texas Pharmacist License (or must obtain within 90 days)
• Texas Pharmacist Preceptor Certification (within 180 days)
• ACPE IV Sterile Certification
• BLS within 90 days
• ACLS (required for inpatient roles within 6 months)
• Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of progressive, relevant experience in outpatient/retail or inpatient settings
• PGY1 residency highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Interpret and evaluate medication orders and support clinical decision-making.
• Perform key pharmacy functions: order entry, pharmacokinetics, IV-to-PO conversions, therapeutic interchange.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide direct patient care.
• Mentor pharmacy interns, technicians, and residents.
