Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), every other weekend, to provide nursing care to telemetry and stroke patients. You'll document the nursing process and coordinate with other professionals per the medical plan of care.

Requirements include SC RN license, ADN with BSN planned within 1 year, BLS, and ACLS/NIHSS as applicable. Additional arrhythmia coursework within specified timelines may be required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• ADN with expectation of BSN (to start education within 1 year of hire).
• BLS certified.
• ACLS within 1 year if applicable for area assigned.
• NIHSS Certificate within 1 year if applicable for area assigned.
• Complete arrhythmia course within 30 days of hire if applicable for area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing Process to provide and document professional nursing care to telemetry and stroke patients per the medical plan of care, critical pathways, and SRH Nursing Policies and Standard Work.
• Coordinates and delegates care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel.
• Communicates findings to appropriate person(s) as indicated.
• Adheres to educational hour requirements per NIAHO standards for Primary Stroke Center.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Nurse Manager or Director.
