Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to coordinate the delivery of quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle. The role includes providing clinical care as needed and communicating care issues to leadership, while serving as a resource for staff throughout shifts.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of hospital nursing experience (2+ preferred), a GA RN license, and current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (required).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year hospital nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• GA RN licensure required; multi-state licensure acceptable.
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• NRP required by orientation; AWHONN Fetal Monitoring within 12 months.
• PEARS certification required at Piedmont Athens Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of quality nursing care from birth through the lifecycle.
• Provide clinical care as needed based on census demands.
• Communicate patient care, department issues, and staff concerns to leadership.
• Act as a resource and guidance for staff and team members.
