Job summary

Maple Heights in Kansas is seeking a Charge Nurse to supervise nursing staff on the unit and provide high-quality resident care during the 6pm–6am shift. The role requires a Nursing Degree or an approved LPN program with pharmacology, and active RN/LPN licensure in Kansas (or multi-state).

You will administer medications, update Care Plans, lead staff, document physician orders, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Salary ranges from $29–$39 per hour based on licensure and experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess Nursing Degree or be a graduate of an approved LPN program with a pharmacology course.
• Must hold a current RN or LPN license in Kansas (or multi-state licensure).
• Minimum age 21; ability to lead and supervise nursing staff.
• Knowledge of IDPA, IDPH, JCAHO, OBRA regulations; strong English skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel and ensure care plans are followed.
• Administer medications and oversee narcotics/controlled substances records.
• Make rounds, update Care Plans every 30-90 days, and communicate with physicians.
• Coordinate with physicians, transcribe orders, and document patient status.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and adherence to policies and procedures.
