Job summary

Sabert Corporation in Fort Wayne, IN, seeks a Changeover Technician for the night shift. This role covers full set-up from last part produced to first part approved, with responsibility for starting up all equipment and minimizing downtime.

The candidate will follow GMP, report equipment issues, and train operators on safety and procedures. Must be able to work 12-hour nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• In-depth knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical processes (thermoforming or changeover experience preferred).
• Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish root cause of problems.
• Fork truck operator certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tools before installation and after removal to ensure all parts are in good condition.
• Report tool performance and deviations to ensure smooth operation.
• Perform repairs to tooling to minimize downtime and meet schedule.
• Ensure quality of parts from thermoformers, including knife and metal set-ups.
• Establish proper process parameters for each production item.
• Verify that safety switches and guards are in place and functioning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of thermoforming areas.
