Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED when nationally certified through NHA.
• PTCB certification not required to have HS diploma.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification and Iowa Board registration at time of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medication orders and delivers meds to patient rooms and units.
• Restocks automated dispensing machines and prepares IV admixtures.
• Assists pharmacists with audits and unit inspections.
• Maintains stock utilization and communicates ordering needs.
• Supports training and mentoring of new staff and directs workflow as needed.
• Adheres to laws and Trinity Health policies for ethical and professional behavior.
