Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, Florida is hiring for a patient care focused role within an acute care setting. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, and professional certification as a CNA or CPCT/A or related credentials as indicated.

BLS certification is required, with experience in bedside patient care preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous learning, delivering quality care under the supervision of a registered nurse while ensuring patient comfort

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification [Required]
• CNA or CPCT/A or NCCT or PCT-C or EMT Certification [Required]

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in performance improvement and supports quality standards.
• Follows isolation guidelines and uses protective equipment.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in delivering patient care under direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents procedures per department policy.
• Assists in obtaining nursing history and reports abnormalities.
