MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an Acute Care RN to provide safe and compassionate patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit. Training for VAD is provided for new graduates after six months, with experienced staff receiving training after orientation.

The role requires an Iowa RN license, ADN with BSN preferred, and BLS/ACLS per unit needs. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available; excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license required; American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS required for units with telemetry monitoring; Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• The Acute Care RN provides safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients with varying levels of acuity.
• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; coordinating with the interdisciplinary team; supporting patients and families.
